Question Reduce number of executions?

Hi

Love the product, forum wouldn't be without it. Slight problem - been getting a lot of warnings from my hosting company recently that I'm exceeding my monthly execution allowance. The Shoutbox is far and away the biggest offender unfortunately.

Is there anything I can do to reduce the number of executions it produces?

You need to move to a better webhost. There is not a single reason to limit the number of database queries you can execute, and they are only doing this in order to squeeze more money out of you by charging you for a more expensive package.

Thanks for that Fillip H.. When my current deal expires, I will look to move elsewhere.

Will reducing the number of chatrooms make a difference? Increasing the refresh time?

Neither of those will make any difference, there is no way to reduce the number of queries this mod runs.
