Question I want to allow a charged event even when the user doesnt have enough credits

I have two forums set up

Posting in one forum increases X but reduces Y
Posting in the other forum increases Y but reduces X
If someone with no Y currency wants to post in the X forum, the action gets stopped.
How can I change this so that for this specific event it just reduces Y to 0
