First of all I would like to say thank you all for creating such modifications, the administrator of this site will be able to see that I have spent hundreds of dollars buying the modifications, branding free, addon packs etc.
I have spent the last day or so going through and adding them to my website (finally) after upgrading to 4.0.5 and getting around to doing all of the template edits etc that my members love as it allows us to add functionality to the website.
I wanted to start this thread on a good note, and I want to say your modifications are some of (if not) the best modifications available and should be a must have for any forum administrator.
HOWEVER...
I would like to request that you stop using the:
For all of your modifications.
While I understand it makes it easier for you all to create seemless installs, eg: able to just upload the product rather than template edits etc by adding everything to the one hook it makes it hard for those like me (and no doubt many others out there) who like to play with our templates and move things around, add additional functionality to our templates etc to actually be able to do it.
To give an example for my sport website I use this modification:
http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=237867
Which is a tabbed postbit so that the postbit is not 10000 times longer than the actual post that has been made.
However with you guys using the hook listed above it restricts the amount of customising I can do. For instance I can not have the Credits displayed on the first tab along with post count, location, gender, and blog entries.
It means that I can not have the Thank You's on their own tab, and means I can not have the activity on their own tab - by using the hook it is all or nothing with the modifications.
As my feedback I would like to say that some of us love spending hours customising, however loose faith when we need to disect all of these hooks to try and get what we want.
I for one would prefer you guys went back to template edits rather than just have everything loaded into the one hook.
Last time around I was lucky enough that DarkWaltz assisted me in getting things how I wanted them however since upgrading and losing it all (which is why I am now not going to upgrade until 4.1) I haven't been so lucky.
