I happen to be running 4.1.4, but this issue has been ongoing for a while. I get the following error in the logs every time the cache flushes (either manually or auto).

Code:
[Fri Jun 10 12:15:06 2011] [error] [client 63.210.163.226] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function query_read_slave() on a non-object in /var/www/vhosts/performanceboats.com/httpdocs/vboptimise/cachers/cacher_forumhomewol.php on line 37

It results in a "server error" page and only affects the CMS pages. The forums work fine. I am using filecache at the moment (I know, but in my defense we are running 15k drives).

I've been unable to confirm this issue on either 4.1.3 or 4.1.4 :(

Forum Home WOL also shouldn't affect the CMS, as the code referenced in the error does not execute on any CMS pages.

Found the issue. I had a widget on the home page showing the WOL. Removing the widget removes the problem.

If for some reason you would like to debug this particular issue I have a video screen capture of the problem and can give access to the site for debugging. I think that if you add the WOL widget to the CMS home page you will likely be able to replicate the issue.

For the moment not a big deal on my site. The WOL thing on the home page wasn't exactly critical.

Edit: If I had to bet I would say that the home page stays broken until someone visits the forums and creates the WOL cache. We have a very active forum so this typically happens within 10 seconds. That would explain why no one has experienced major downtime. PM with link to screen capture sent.
