Bug Active User List Is In Random Order?

My members have been reporting the constant updating of the active members list.

In previous versions, the list was in alphabetical ordering & did not update every 4 seconds.

For example:

Active Users:

A
B
D
F
C
E

4 seconds later:

E
F
C
D
A
B

& this random switching never stops. Is there not a way to go back to the basic names in alphabetical order?

I believe it sorts by latest shout

Not the case. When I post, my post will appear & be 4 names down the list.

Could it be reverse?

In either case it's not a bug since a sorted active users list was never an advertised feature

That fine. "how can I" make the user list not update randomly every 4 seconds? The older version 5.x didn't do it like this. I just spent $90 to upgrade my license to lifetime only to have this annoy my members :RpS_angry:

The only way that could happen is if the AOP isn't working properly.

Please ensure you have CHMOD /dbtech/vbshout/aop to 0777 and if you have, try deleting every .txt file in that folder and then make a shout - this should reset the AOP and should no longer consume extra resources by fetching shouts every x seconds (whatever your refresh interval is)

Deleted all of the .txt files as suggestion. Folder is 0777.

This does not resolve the issue. I have also include a screenshot here. Notice the ordering of the names (newest shouts on top) & the order in which the active users are displayed. There seems to be no logic behind it (i.e. not alphabetical nor newest on top).

Deleting the text files did indeed fix the issue of the list refreshing every 4 seconds

It was not intended to fix anything regarding the ordering of the list.
