Hi just wondered when the next major version is expected and what significant performance benefits it will have if any.

There is no estimated release dates for any DBTech updates - we tend to avoid them so as to be able to dynamically adapt to what is required at the time.

In addition, since I'm taking over development and support, I have to re-write the mod - a time consuming process - before any new features can be added.

And finally, vB Optimise is one of those products where we can't just update it for the sake of adding more features. The features need to be well though out and do more good than harm

The main reason i asked it its common knowledge 3.0 is being beta tested, so it must have some new features?

That was written by the old developer of the mod, and probably will not be pubicly released, like Fillip H. said he has to completely re write the mod now as he is the dev working on it now.

Just for the record, the only "major" feature in the current beta version (which would have been 2.X rather than 3.0 in all likelyhood) is CDN support - the Beta is open to anyone who wishes to join.
