Bug vBNotifications looking strange - and not working

I've installed this tonight and the only thing I'm getting is a black bar across my FP with "New Notification(s)" - and this is not clickable.
Problem exists in both customized and default skin.

Edit: jsut found out that the black bar is only showing for admin. When logged in as user the entire background on FP has turned black, see att.

Eek - that broke my whole site doing that......

Thank God changing the setting back fixed everything.

I used to have the same issue when using the Store CSS Files as Stylesheets option, but my problem related to the type of links I was using (not formatted properly) which I breaks the export of the styles in the CSS.

I find it by loading the exported files into a HTML editor, and scanning it quickly for the break in the colouring used by the editor to show it properly formatted. It took some time, but made sure the site was more HTML compliant.

Wow, that's way over my head.

I hope they just fix it to work without CSS as files.
