Bug Thumbnails missing

Just updated to 2.3.2 and all of my thumbnails disappeared... any idea how to restore them as we have 100s of files?

I set the picturestorage folder to 777... but I don't understand. Is there somewhere to regenerate the thumbnails?

Thumbnails are automatically re-generated every time they are requested, if the thumbnail file cannot be found in that directory.

Also, they are re-generated whenever a new file is uploaded or the download is modified in another way.
