Not sure if this is supposed to happen but it doesn't seem like it should... or at least there should be a setting to change it:

If a user posted something and later goes and edits that post, they receive the amount of currency every time they edit the post / thread.

For example; I have an action to give 0.25 per post and 0.75 per thread:

A user posts a new thread, receives 0.75
User edits thread, receives 0.75 again
User edits thread, receives 0.75 again
User edits thread, receives 0.75 again

It happens literally every time the user edits it, giving a unlimited supply of currency simply by editing a thread and hitting save.

Same thing happens with post action.

Please fix/advise.

You need to set a negate amount for the action to prevent this happening. I'll let Darkwaltz4 explain the details - I'm rubbish with them ^.^

I have a suggested entered for skipping this process if you did not set a negation - however Cosmic is correct :)

The Post Negation amount should be exactly the same as the amount given by the event.

So if you have an event named "Post" and it's worth .75 points, setting the negation amount at .75 will make edits give a net of 0 points. Yes, it will still give the .75 points, but it will take them away right away.

For example, on my site I posted and then edited the post so I could look at the Transactions and show you how it looked.

Code:
Today, 02:21 PM Post Earned 5 HalBucks
Today, 02:21 PM [I]Post Spent 5 HalBucks[/I]
Today, 02:17 PM Post Earned 5 HalBucks
The italicized "Post" is actually stricken but they don't have that here for example purposes.

Actually, you leave off the negative :p The descriptions on the settings will clarify what happens to the number you put (increase/decrease). You also don't need to put exactly the same number; some people like to penalize this sort of thing.

Its okay. Again, the reason it does that is so that it can recalculate any changes made the post, such as that it adheres to any min/max limits or extra credits being given per word etc. Again, i have a suggestion entered to ignore reapplied negation like this if a negation amount is not entered.
