Over-ride Background colour of main text area?

Just purchased Pro, looks great, thanks!

BUT

I am running a custom theme, and the colour of the main text window isn't doing it for me..

How would I over-ride that with a colour of my choice please?

postbit_background stylevar, or alternatively you can edit .formcontrols .blockrow .dbtech_shouts .dbtech_vbshout_window .dbtech_vbshout_frame { in CSS file dbtech_vbshout_colours.css

I should be adding standard css directives in there?

I've tried adding background-color and color, to no effect

Yeah standard CSS works. Did you edit the stylevar or the CSS itself? You should try editing the stylevar first. Surely if the postbit background looks bad in the SB, then it looks bad on the rest of your skin as well...

Oh, in 3.8 there's no stylevar.


Are you talking about the background area or the input area?

Well then I did point you to the right place.
If you could PM me with a link to your forums' admin area, and the details of an admin login with Can Administer Styles, as well as details of what colour you would like the background area changed to, I'll have a crack at fixing it
