Legacy Mirror Issues

Well I was thinking of a few things regarding mirrors:

1. Downloading from them is not considered in the (how many times was it) "downloaded" from the file listing. as a suggestion I think it should be considered a download every time the link is clicked ?
2. Mirrors hidden or available as a button so only users can see it ?
3. Mirror open in a different tab when clicked ?
4. It should consider Mirror as files. as in the files section 1 (2) which would mean 1 file uploaded, 2 mirrors.
