Legacy Invite Promotions/Initial User Setup/Referrals

This is a larger request so if it's ever added at all, it'd probably be after this beta, but... Here's some ideas I came up with.

I'd like to see the ability to create registration links that would predefine some user data.

For instance, a link that would auto promote the user to a specific usergroup if used. This should have a counter that would limit the number of uses (or zero for unlimited). These should be able to be set as active/inactive. Starting and ending time/dates would be pretty cool too, but not specifically needed by myself anyway.

The possibility of setting up some other information for the user by default if they use the link, for instance automatically giving them a specific amount of credits in a specific currency(ties into vbCredits of course).

User Referral codes within the invite link, this would auto track which users are getting the new members to join.

Ability for users to generate their own codes to pass out so they get the referral credit.

Bonuses for users who's referral codes are being used, such as vBCredits/vBShop integration.

Statistics, such as who's got the most referrals, within a specific time/date.

All in all, just trying to mostly give those who help promote your website something in return.

These are just off the top of my head as I typed this, so... yeah they'd need some fleshing out if they were to even be considered at all. =)

Good stuff, I like it and I can see a lot of uses for the mod!

Lots of good ideas here, definitely something that will probably at one point of another cause me a lot of work in a new version.

Just to let you know a majority of these ideas have been implemented in one way or another in the upcoming v2 release.

This can be emulated by the means of creating a registration instance with the action usergroup and a required criteria of code. Counters and start/end times have not been implemented and if ability is still desired it is asked that you create a new feature request thread.

This action does not yet exist. As recommended with the above, a new feature request would assure this feature gets full attention.

Invites are automatically linked to users. The ability for this to reflect upon the users referral count does not exist so it is recommended to request this feature.

Ability for users to generate their own codes to pass out so they get the referral credit.

This seems to be conflicting with the above feature request. The ability for users to define their own codes for referral credit seems to have the same desired outcome as referral codes within invite links.

Bonuses for users who's referral codes are being used, such as vBCredits/vBShop integration.

Integration of invite links with referrals would be the scope of this modification. Bonuses in vBCredits and vBShop based on referrals are feature requests that belong in their own support forum.

Statistics, such as who's got the most referrals, within a specific time/date.

As recommended with above, a new feature request would assure this feature gets full attention.
