Since in your Shoutbox you said you had reverted to the previous version, I'm unable to verify any of these issues.
Did you ensure there were no customised templates?

I wasn't able to re-produce these issues on my localhost, but I did fix some further style issues in IE7 and IE8 on the 3.8 version.

These fixes will be in v5.1.
