Question Contest Banner Size

I am about to start the set up of my first contest.

Contest Banner (Full Size) - This will display on the Contests page when this is the currently active contest, and on the extended information page for this contest.


Contest Banner (Small Size) - This will display on the Contests page in the list of other (previous or upcoming) contests.

What is the recommend size for the contest banners...any suggestions?

Full Size = ?
Small Size = ?

There's no specific recommended size, as this depends on the width of your skin (and in the event of a fluid skin, the resolution of the viewer).

However, the Small Size is more meant for button-sized banners (like those affiliate buttons you saw on sites back in the early 00s) whereas full size is more banner size.

Was testing some ... did the small 100x100 and the big banner 500x100. so i guess you can use whatever you want

I did some more searching online and

small standard appears to be 88 x 55 but 88 x 31 looks better.

KristerSwe I may go with the 100 x 100 for the contest.
Large standard appears to 600 x 100 but 400 x 80 also works...big banner 500x100 fits right in there!

A large google ad is 728 x 90 I wonder what that would look like in the contest?
I will check out the small google banner too.

On second thought I may go with something like the 500 x 100 = it may look better on smaller screen - phone.
