Also, at least from my perspective, saying that something is too expensive (50 bucks) and asking someone to develop a new product from scratch for cheaper... probably won't get you much traction. I mean... they can make the 20-30 bucks you might be willing to pay, by doing just about anything else. If you want a product made, it needs to be either be something entirely new that they can make money off of, or something that has been done, poorly, that they can make money off of. Short version, something they can make money off of. Reinventing the wheel doesn't make you money, inventing a NEW wheel, does. What you're asking is for the same wheel, just cheaper.
