Question Clear Logs

How do I clear the logs? I found a post here that referenced a link that I get a 404 when I reference, so just asking point blank

Transaction log cannot be pruned without reversing those transactions first, otherwise the system cannot function as a closed system (ie, discrepancies can arise with which you wont be able to trace the reason)
