Posts and Threads missing thanks button

I have noticed that a few of the threads and posts are missing the thanks button.

Is there a glitch or is something going on that I havent fathomed yet?

I have to edit the said post/thread and enable thanks for it to appear.

Any ideas?

This is something I've never been able to figure out why happens. However, in 1.1.0 (currently in Beta testing for Pro customers), the storage format changed from "enable thanks" to "disable thanks" (in a nutshell) which means that this shouldn't occur anymore
