Because you asked for the modification to support Nginx, which it does. We have many customers who run Nginx successfully as they were able to write their own rulesets.

Because Nginx doesn't support .htaccess-like rewrite rules, it is impossible to provide a set of rules that will work on all forums, as the rule set for people who run the forum is a subdirectory is different to people who run it in the top level.
