Legacy Can I allow users to set a name to their item/animal?

I´m using vBShop to sell virtual pets, so I was wondering to allow users to name the pet (item) they buy. I thought that the "Custom Field Title" option is useful to do this, but I don´t see the title that user sets on posbit_legacy.

Can I do this in any way?

Unfortunately that's not possible

The Custom Field Title is only used for the configuration - say you wanted to sell a real-world item, you could set up a custom item to have fields for Name, Shipping Address, Post code, etc.
