Question Adding new members to current vBMail list?

I have an existing vBMail created mailing list composed of members of our advisory panel usergoup.

If I add a new member to that usergroup to our site, does vBMail automatically pick up that member's name and add them to the vBMail mailing list for that usergroup?

... or, do I have to manually add them myself, every time these new additions occur?

It will not auto-add them, no. The default subscribed only works for newly registered users. However, what you can do, is edit and save the mailing list after adding a new member (no changes are needed) and it'll pick up on new members in the Default Subscribed usergroups.

Unfortunately it's not feasible for us to support usergroup changes, because most of them happen outside the reach of hooks. We'd have no way to ensure it works 100% of the time (such as automatic promotions).
