Bug Vertical Aling Image, not working

I installed vBShout on my test site. noticed this code in the dbtech_vbshout.css template.

I believe this centres images vertically to the shout. However I do not appear to be getting the results. My smilies are not aligned centrally, they align at the bottom of the shout.

Any ideas why this is the case?

Is the code to align vertically wrong?

I couldn't be sure, I also no longer have a v5.4 installation available as v6.0.x has superseded it.

You can play around with the CSS in the various Shout Type templates (_shout, _me, etc) until you find something that works if the valign is important to you though
