Question Variable data within the notifications

So with the auto discovering notifications, I noticed that I'd like some data that isn't (that I can tell anyway) available.

Example, Someone thanked someone on a post.

How would I (can I?) create a message that looked something like "{puser} just thanked you on the post {threadURL{threadtitle}}, your total thanks are now {%d}".

This isn't available yet but it is definitely something I would like to do. I'm trying to discover the best way to do it really without impacting too much on performance. Could you post this as a suggestion and I will look into it for 1.1?
