Question Point recalculation take long time and unresponded...

Hi,

I am trying to recalculating my users points. My forum already 4 years, having 700k posts and 40k users. It take very very long time to complete 1 users.... it not responded when calculating users that have around 8k posts and 2k thanks/likes.... How to over come this? i have user that contribute 35k posts and more than 10k likes. I can not imaging when it calculating point for this particular user. Please help on this. thanks

Unfortunately there's nothing you can do except allow PHP to run the set_time_limit function. If you do not know how to do this, please contact your host for assistance.

Does it mean's that this product is not cater for big forum?

possible to run the point recalculation in staggered. means i run it in 3 or 6 months period then add them all together? just an idea.... i wish your product can work when my forum growth bigger... i do not wish to uninstall your product when there is limitation. please support on this. thanks

In the do_not_upload folder there's a "vbactivitymaint.php" file that is made to be ran from the terminal command line.

Hi, i have figured out how to use ssh to calculate. great and thanks. but it will be a pain to wait for them to recalculate since i have 40k users and some user may take up to 10mins for point calculation. Possible to have an option to calculate or reset point for 1 particular user or a range of users (for example userid 1-50) and etc?i can not afford to let my server recalculate the points for few days and it's server intensive. At least i can run it everyday 100 or 1000 users a day during night when not so high traffic. Please help on this. thanks

There is no way to recalculate a single user and make the general recalculation skip these users.
