Question Link stipping out forum CSS style

Ok this one is weird and Im not sure even how its happening. It seems to be a rewrite issue...

After installing dbseo the links on my classifieds script work but they strip out the forums CSS on a specific page. Anything with (showproduct.php) is is compromised.

DBSEO does not remove anything from the page so I'm not sure how this could be due to DBSEO. Have you tested it with DBSEO disabled & commented out of the .htaccess file?

Ok so I now know why the style was stipped out. My tech added this line to showproduct.php

$skip_exheader = true;

and it removed all forum styles from that page.

I removed it and its back to normal now but I know why he added it. It seems all classifieds links from the cms/forum or anywhere else that link to the classifieds all rewrite the link to replace the work Classifieds with Forums. This started happening after dbseo.

So for example the link after dbseo looks like this.
ScaleMotorcars

And it should look like this.
ScaleMotorcars

Isnt this an easy rewrite fix in the htaccess?

It could be, your forum setup is very strange though. You have the forum in a subfolder and the gallery and classifieds products in subfolders alongside it, instead of having them all in the same folder.

The .htaccess file is only edited in the forum subfolder, yet somehow it still appears to apply to your gallery and classifieds products.

I'm honestly not sure what to do since this is a very peculiar setup I have never encountered before.

Not sure I follow. The sites homepage or CMS is at the root with forums,classifieds, and gallery all in the same folder. Its been like that for 10 years. It was like that with vbseo and worked fine. Just and fyi the gallery and classifieds are both from Photopost.

If thats a strange setup what would be normal?

Having the forum, CMS, classifieds and gallery all in the same folder, that's the kind of setup I'm used to seeing.

I believe I worked around it by adding showproduct.php to the Excluded Pages setting in the DBSEO CP
