I just want to know if its possible to get this working on a smaller scale and by that i would want it as a forum block

Is this possible and if so how ?

Also can this be set to just show to certain usergroups as i want threads posted to only members of my clan site

Currently, it is not, but I will consider it for a future version.

As far as being viewable to only specific usergroups, that also currently is not available. It could probably be done fairly easily by placing a conditional inside of the template dbtech_vbslider. I will consider this for a future version as well.
