Bug Error

I just upgraded my site from 4.2.1pl1 to 4.2.3 and now vBOptimize is giving me an error when running the system check. It gets to Running Test: Flush Cache and the spinning wheel just keeps spinning and I get an error: Message from webpage Ajax failure Internal server error. Any idea what I need to fix?

PHP 5.5.9-1ubuntu4.11
XCache Version 3.1.0

Please check your server's error_log file for the real error message behind a 500 Internal Server Error.
