Question Emails Not Working For Mentions & Quotes

It's my understanding that all users must have "Receive Email from Other Users " set to yes in order for them to get emails. If I am right, does anyone know a query I can use so that I can enable that in mass?

Right now, they are only receiving emails when I as admin mention or quote them.

I believe if you go to the Execute SQL Queries page in vB, there's a bunch of pre-defined operations in a drop-down. The relevant option should be there.

You'll need the appropriate config.php permission.

I checked there, but that one was not included and I can't find anything in the web on what option number it is.

The setting "Allow Users to Email Other Members" must be enabled, then the "Display email" option will be available in that drop-down.

Yeah, that was enabled, but the query does not show up, do you have access to a vb3.8 you can copy the query from? I think he shows the actual query before it runs it.

Or even if there is a way to remove that check from the script itself.

It's off a vB4 forum but here's the query: UPDATE user SET options = options + 256 WHERE NOT (options & 256)

Remember to add the table prefix if you use it.
