Bug Notifications are not being dismissed.

Hi there, notifications are not being dismissed at all since upgrade.
Basically after clicking the notifications, they do not go away.
None of them.
Same goes for the tag mod too.

I tested the vBSEO like system and their system dismisses the notifications properly, same with vBulletin PM's, those notifications also dismiss properly.

Update 2: I was able to reproduce this on my test site that is on a different machine.

This is the kind of thing that makes me dislike vBSEO.

I've updated the Profile Notification script to clear the notification on visit, but I cannot make it redirect to the proper tab. Yay, vBSEO!

Ah I see.
Vbseo is an outdated plugin, they have not updated their core product in over a year.

I should add that disabling profile rewrites should in theory fix the ability to redirect to the correct tab, but I haven't tested that myself so I can't say with certainty.

I did test it and everything works fine when turning off that option.
It's a work around, but with established links I am not sure if turning that option off would be a good idea (SEO wise).
vBSEO recommends once those settings are set if you change them it might be a very bad idea.

HAha, your right. I'll disable the profile re-writes for now.
BTW Fillip H., have you checked with the vBSEO team to see if they can help us out to figure out if there is a way for these two things to co-exist?

I do have to put my 2 cents on vBSEO....their core product has not been updated in over a year and there has not been any development progress in over 16 months.
What a shame, it looks like its a sinking ship.

They provide an API, but it doesn't work properly

We used to use it, but had to take it out cause it was causing massive issues.

vBSEO is a piece of crap!
So disabling user profile re-write fixed all my issues!

My users when dismissing notices it would not dismiss properly and it took a while to update, after disabling the user profile re-write the notices dismiss immediately!
This is a vBSEO fault and they are very poor at keeping things up to date!

Also this fixed the Like System, it seems more responsive now!
