i think it would be a better idea to move the thanks/like between the report and reply buttons.
its more convenient and more obvious that it would be there.
all around it would make this much more user friendly.

that would work, but if your aim is to reduce screen usage, it wouldn't work. When someone responds with one of those options, it would still put who liked the post or whatever at the bottom (and the list could get long depending on settings).

What you would save there though is NOT displaying that area if there aren't any thank yous, etc.

I support adding this as an option, but I wouldn't want to see the current way removed. For whatever reason, no one ever sees those buttons up top, but they DO see the thank you/like buttons where they are now.

no im all for that. i just would like to add the "thank for this post" button into there so its easier to notice.
