Actually I'd like to see two options...

1. An option that members can elect to completely hide the chat box.

2. An alternate option where they can hide the chat channel, but still see the notifications tab.

vB4 has an option to collapse the shoutbox. This is not available for vB3 due to the complexity involved in creating collapsible objects for vB3 compared to vB4

The hide main shoutbox tab is extremely tricky, in multiple locations it is assumed that shoutbox is an always-available tab.

I'll flag it under consideration still

Or rather than a collapsable object, use a variable

if condition != don't-show ....

it would be part of the user's shoutbox options to select.
