1. I made a second Instance, but I don't see an additional module for it.

2. I only want a second instance so that I can size it differently. I had to resize the one that had it own page so that I can also put it above a forum. What I have now is one that is too small and one that's a little too large for their location in order to meet in the middle.

You deploy the same module, but in the module configuration you will see a drop-down that lets you pick which instance to deploy.

I'm pretty sure I have all the settings the same except for height.

hi
sorry this tread didn't help
when i go to Cpanel DBtech-vBshout instance management
i get this error
Invalid Page URL. If this is an error and the page should exist, please contact the system administrator and tell them how you got this message.

My upgrade to v5.4.2 has finally been completed. And it has not changed my issue with the module drop-down menu not dropping down.

I will check out the vB bug site and see if it been reported as a bug.

This product was never designed for vB 5.4 so it would be unsurprising if they had changed something that would stop this from working. Developing for vB5 is an incredibly frustrating experience.

@Drucifer can you please start a new conversation with me and send me an FTP and AdminCP account so I can look into this issue for you?

Thanks!

There is one issue you do need to correct:
You appear to have PHP 5.3.9 or higher installed on your server and configured to be too restrictive for vBulletin and vBShout to work correctly.

Please note that if you have a large number of usergroups, certain parts of this page may not work as intended.

If you encounter this issue, you can work around this by adding the following code to your .htaccess file:

php_value max_input_vars 10000

or altering your php.ini file to increase max_input_vars to 10000.

This has been resolved @ your site. For anyone else running into the same problem, run this query: UPDATE `widgetdefinition` SET isusereditable = 1 WHERE product = 'dbtechvbshout' AND name = 'instanceid'
(Add table prefix as needed)

vB5 is still a broken pile of garbage I see, when I tried saving your home page after testing the fix it wouldn't save the page because of "0 error". 6 years later and they still haven't managed to create a forum software that works...

Thankfully the actual module still saved so your shoutbox is back to what it was.
