Question Images not loading

Fillip, question about the proper use of images in Dragonbyte Mail

We recently sent an email to our members, including an image in the email.

To generate the image, the Mail user toolbar has the image icon however it will not accept uploaded images, only URL's to images. I loaded a webpage with the image we wanted to use, then copied the url and pasted that. The image appeared in the tool without issue and we sent the email

When the email was delivered, the image was not present, only the red "X" you get when a link is broken or image is missing.

1) What is the correct procedure to load an image in the posting thread?

2) any chances of updating the tool to accept uploaded images similar to what Xenforo does?

Can you help me with what we're doing incorrectly,

You have to use the full HTTP URL for images. Furthermore, some email clients block loading remote content by default, so even using the full URL may not display correctly depending on your mail client's settings.

This is the url that was posted and shows in the email code: <https://gatewaycobraclub.com/forum/attachments/2026_composite-jpg.23213/>

But I since have learned the image was on a private side of a Xenforo forum. Apparently the link is blocked to any user, even if a member of the group. I tried it using an image from the public side and it worked.

Any chance of getting the app changed to include the upload tool like on this toolbar or the Xenforo toolbar so we can upload appropriate images.

A little more info,
If I am logged in to the website, that URL does open since I am approved to the private side however the email only carries the red X

If I am not logged in, the URL opens to a logon page but that is not what is displayed in the email

Uploading images to emails would not resolve that issue as they would still be in the attachments system. Images should be hosted outside of the XenForo attachments system.
