XenForo currently only sends Alerts for new reactions. No emails. If implemented in the right way email notifications about new POSITIVE reactions are useful to the recipient and welcome the member back. In my experience such emails will result in a significant engagement and reactivation of absent members. I have used similar functionality for years in my xf1 reputation addon.
Please implement a feature to send out email notifications about positive alerts.
Set email notification ON/OFF per reaction. Default is off.
Alternative approach: set a minimum weight for email notifications. If the reaction has a weight value higher than this, then email notifications are sent.
An email notification could look like this:
As reactions are so easy to use, this function can generate a lot of transactional email, which will bring VALUED members back to the website.
There should be a restriction like this:
Only send emails to users active in last: X days.
Or just use the same value as is set for:
Only send watched content alerts/emails to users active in last X days.
Of course, users should be able to List-unsubscribe from these emails.
Email should of course contain email footer currently defined in the phrase and use default MAIL_CONTAINER template so we can have styling and logo in email.
