How to create auto Thread when new product added ?

1744023043347.webp

I have assign those ones, but unfortunatelly no new Thread will create.

That setting is for products that use the “product fields” feature. Whenever someone purchases one of those products, a thread is created in that forum with that prefix.

This feature is in use here @ DBTech for the “Professional Installation” feature.

New product threads are controlled via the category.

Is there any documentation avalibel?

I am assigning on the category the accoring Thread, but when I add new Products, it doesn't create a new Thread.

What product type are you adding (digital/physical/etc)?

The feature might only be compatible with certain product types at this time.

Then the thread will be created after the first download you add to a product. You must fill out the change log and release notes, but for the initial post it uses the product description instead.

I’d recommend putting “Initial release” in both fields.

Thanks, the Thread has been created now. I have some few additional questions.

1) I just notice that the the created Thread for the new Product add the Prefix as Suffix to the Thread Title:

How can I omit the suffix?

2) Where can I add the tags for the Product like the example in the screenshot ?

3) How can I add the "Discussion" and the "Join discussion" Button like the below screenshot ?

1744096684436.webp

4) What is the difference between the "Discussion" and "Get support" ?

It would be nice if someone could answer my questions
It would be nice if I could be available 24/7 to answer any and all questions you might have, but sometimes I am not at my work computer for any number of reasons. I'd be happy to provide you with graphic descriptions of the result of the stomach bug that prevented me from being @ work yesterday, if you want?

It does not add the prefix as suffix. Edit the setting "Release thread title template" and remove [{category}] to no longer include the product's category in the release thread title.

2) Where can I add the tags for the Product like the example in the screenshot ?
Edit the product and fill out the "Tags" field:

3) How can I add the "Discussion" and the "Join discussion" Button like the below screenshot ?
This is set automatically when the first release thread is added as per the previous posts in this thread. You can also change this from the product edit menu in the front-end:

"Get support" is a button provided by this product:
When it's configured to highlight a certain forum as the support forum for a product.

Oh, sorry for the intrusiveness and thanks for the replies.
Edit the product and fill out the "Tags" field:
That's strange, I don't have the "Tags" field when I edit the product.
I also double check the the Permissions for Admin and all "DragonByte eCommerce" permissions also set to "Yes"

I made the fist release, but the problem is as in the screenshot below.
"Join discussion" is only avalible under "Releases", it is missing where the red rectangle are.

And I am missing the option to upload images etc: here:

No worries :) Usually if you don't get a reply from an addon developer (or XF themselves in their ticketing system) it's not because they're ignoring you!

Is the tagging system perhaps globally disabled @ your site? admin.php?options/groups/tagging/ - "Enable content tagging".

In the category, is the "Product update notifications" setting "New thread" or "Reply"? Also, did you try changing the discussion thread as I highlighted via the menu?

Yes that was the problem, it was disabled

New thread is selected.

Also, did you try changing the discussion thread as I highlighted via the menu?
No, becuase I will keep the current discussion thread:

But when I try to change it
1744282025166.webp I get:
1744281997589.webp

and a other question is, I am missing the option to upload images etc. here:
1744282104887.webp

I just notice, when I add a service then the "Discussion" Link and Button appears. But when I add as Digital, then not ?

New thread is selected.
You must choose "Reply" in order for the product itself to have a "Join discussion" button. That signals that each product has one singular thread for updates. Otherwise, each individual update has its own discussion thread, and no "Join discussion" button can be added.

After changing to the "Reply" function, you'll need to create a new thread, then use the "Change discussion thread" feature to set this newly created thread as the product's discussion thread.

and a other question is, I am missing the option to upload images etc. here:
You cannot upload images to those editor fields. Product attachments are the screenshots you attach further up on the edit product page.

I just notice, when I add a service then the "Discussion" Link and Button appears. But when I add as Digital, then not ?
This is because services do not have updates, so the thread is always associated with the product as described earlier in this post.

But how about the link to the Product in the Thread, should it be create manually also ?
