Does the SEO grab the instance name or the shortname? My instance name is "outdoors" but the url is gallery/gallery, should be gallery/outdoors.

I have the re-write rules left at the default setting of gallery/[instance_name]/

It's the instance name. You should be able to change the instance name in the Gallery mod itself to achieve your desired effect

Well that is just it. My instance name is "Outdoors" but is showing as "gallery".

Ah, I was mistaken; in the Edit Instance page it is indeed the Short Name that's being used. That's the identifier used for all instances throughout the mod.

Ok so that explains why the url is not changing but when I try to change the shortname the navigation menu disappears.

I got it sorted. Was the permission name.
