Legacy Configuration option needed: Open links in new window or same window

I want a configuration option which lets me decide if clicks on links in user profile are opened in the same or a new window.

I've flagged this as "Under Consideration" for it to be queued to be looked at in the next version. The form we had you fill out when posting ensures that even if your thread gets pushed to the second page, we will always be able to easily see a list of all feature requests when it's time to plan the next version.

When I say "next version" what I really mean is "next feature update" - we may push bugfix updates that do not contain any feature changes, but if it's a 3.x.0 or 4.0.0 update, that's when features are included. 3.0.x updates are bugfixes only for the most part.

We don't have any concrete schedules far into the future, so unfortunately I can't tell you exactly when we'll be working on the next feature update. All mods are on a rotating update schedule though, depending on factors like how many feature updates they've received in the past months, and others.

Its just one file to edit, but i have to remember it when uploading an update. Thats why its easier to add an option which handles the target="_blank"
