A little while ago, we conducted a survey to gauge how our customers felt about the current "Automatic Bulk Purchase Discount" and "Loyalty Points" systems. These systems were implemented in order to ensure our existing customers received the best deal. However, the feedback we've received is that these systems are quite confusing to work with, so we are replacing them with a simpler system that still ensures customers always get the best deal.
The new system instead involves personalized discount coupons. Those of you subscribed to our "DragonByte News" Mailing list (and have not opted out of receiving emails from administrators) will receive a specialised coupon approximately once a month.
The products and discount amount will be individualised to suit your site based on metrics like what products you own and how much you have spent with us previously. This should significantly increase the likelihood of you finding the discount coupons useful, and you'll receive bigger discounts the more you spend with us as well.
This system is still under development, but we'll announce any relevant changes either in another news thread or in our weekly Developer Blogs.
Of course, we will still be providing the occasional special global discounts, which will be displayed on our store front and our forum home page as per usual, so make sure you keep checking back!
