Legacy ability to change names of items

A feature that allows us to name an item when uploading it to the system, for example currently you have to name/leave the item as is when you add it from the server, maybe an extra option to name it something so that it doesn't show xxx_xxx.png when you look on the items area or purchasing area. I think that the current system looks a little stupid as i have items called green_suit.png which i just want displaying user end as Green Suit.

That is already a feature, the bit that says xxx_xxx.png is a text box which lets you rename the item before saving it

i had problems when re-naming it as for me whenever i removed the .PNG extension of that item it gave me an error saying something along the lines of invalid field.

No, you can change the Title just fine. You can't change the Filename, though.
