blimey u changed the code in the time from when i reported this to redownloading it all again and setting up. Now thats what I call speedy gonzalez!!!

right what ive done seems to have sorted it out. I deleted ALL the files associated with the donate plugin. Reuploaded/installed and its worked ok. I think I may know what caused the problem. I added a hook, cant remember to which file to allow the donate bar to be shown on my portal page...

yer just realised that myself. Looks like I will have to contact my provider to get them to disable it. Do i need to get them to disable it for the vbdownloads.php file or for the path that leads to my download folder as i am unsure of what needs to be disabled and how in order to get downloads...

Ive just checked up on mod_security2 and it seems like as you said it cannot be disabled via .htacces. However, it CAN be disabled by the looks of it inside the virtual host of httpd.conf Would you recommend that? Heres the link I came across in a google search mod_security2 - how to disable...
