Question tagging usernames with spaces

We're running Advanced User Tagging v 3.0.8 Pro.

I never noticed until a member brought it up that you can't tag a user with a space in their username.

ie: You can @SoftWareRevue

You cannot @ SoftWare Revue

Is there a work-around? Our members prefer not to use the ";" to single the end of the username. But if that's the only way, that's the only way. I just want to make sure that using only @ is not possible before I tell members it's not possible.

I'm unable to replicate this issue. Please make sure the usernames are spelled correctly when attempting to use the Mentions feature.
