Bug syntax error, unexpected end of file, expecting case

Please help, for now, I've turned off Notifications but when it's on and someone clicks a notification the following shows on a white screen.

What version of PHP are you running?

Also I don't think that's related to our mod, as if it was, it would have mentioned dbtech/thanks in the error message as we do not use eval() for our hooks.

We use php 7.1 and MySQL 5.7. The Thanks module is the only place this issue occurs.

Have you tried disabling all other modifications, leaving only Thanks enabled? It's possible another add-on is causing a conflict.
