Have a look at your server error log.
Getting a server error on your site when trying to add a new address before checking out.

This looks to be due to the VAT number being a UK VAT number. I'll look into this, but for now I would omit the VAT number from the address.

Yes, it's a UK VAT number and I put it in so that we don't get charged VAT.
I'll change it now, thanks.
 
I believe I've resolved the issue. The VIES service for checking VAT numbers can no longer be used to check UK VAT numbers. I've added a special check for UK VAT numbers using HMRC's own VAT service.

Let me know if that works for you :) Assuming it passes testing, I'll release v3.1 with this fix implemented.
