Legacy SEO Links for Downloads

Have you looked into using SEO links/rewrites for the downloads? I've tried to get my downloads to show in search engines but without an SEO option it is harder to get the traffic to them.

I think if you could add an option to base the link off the download name it would add traffic to the downloads for those of us looking for it.
