NEW to DB-Tech: The Armory!

What is the armory you ask? well it is our new shop located within vbShop on the forums that sells high quality weapons to kick ass with, to go check it all out please follow this link:

There just used for gifts and to show off really, theres no other purpose.

I noticed the Armory is also showing up in the Item Shop. Is there going to be Armory Items? or should that not be showing up?

Right now when you make a category it shows in both the item shop and the gift shop.

If I remember correctly this is going to change in a future update. Can't wait for that. I want to make different categories that only appear if you are in certain groups and it currently doesn't allow it.

That's the only HUGE flaw in the vbShop modification.

Also, I'm not too fond of the huge images that the Armory provides in the Gift box in the postbit.

I've limited all of my images to 48x48 and made it so that 3 are allowed in the postbit. Works very well.

all the icons in the armory had to be a little bigger otherwise you'd not be able to see what they were, they all have a height limit of 32 pixels.

We'll look at making a width limit - open to suggestions if anyone has any =)

The category thing will be fixed very soon (as in within the next few days )

normally i'd stick to a 32x32 limit but with the guns you can't really do that without loosing a lot of quality so i stuck to a 32 height limit. all future packs will mostly be kept to 32x32 or very small widths

I don't think it's the height that is concerning him, but the width. If you allow say 3 gifts in a postbit and someone buys them 3 weapons that might make the postbit look ugly.

For example, I just bought 2 for myself and even though they wrapped it is still making the postbits very, very long. I mean, vBActivity already does this, but for those of us who don't have VBA because of the postbit size this might be a detriment.

In the end it all boils down to preference. I loved the first pack but I balked at the $.78 a icon.

well we've decided to suply this gun set with two options, the larger gun icons you see on the forums and a smaller version of them which keeps to a 45pixel width limit.
