Question New Product Thread

Hi,

Is it possible to auto-create a thread to announce when a new physical product is added to the store? I don't see the option for this unless I am just very blind.

Am I able to edit the style/layout/bbcode for the new product thread? For example, I want to remove Extended Product Information as I don't use that or at least at the moment. I guess some sort of conditional to see if it has Extended Product Information first before putting in the thread with a blank space under might be a long term solution.
