Question Member Map can use local GeoIP database?

If you already have MaxMind GeoIP database on your server, regularly updated, can Member Map be configured to use the local database instead, and thus not needing a MaxMind License Key?

Sadly not, but you can disable the cron job for updating the MM database and change your upgrade script to sync it to the current location, which is in a subfolder of internal_data/code_cache I believe.

The reason why I switched to autoupdate is I got a large number of support queries from people who either entered the wrong directory or didn't know how to download it manually

I've just placed an link(ln) file in there, rather than duplicate the file and modify my GeoIP update script
GeoLite2-City.mmdb -> /usr/share/GeoIP/GeoLite2-City.mmdb
