Bug index.php inserted in archive links

Hello,

After switching from vBSEO, we noticed that the archive links now have an index.php inserted in them, whereas before they were 100% "friendly" URLs.

E.g of old link: Page Not Found - Computer Games Forum

E.g of new link: GSM [Archive] - Computer Games Forum

Naturally, because of this change Google is now going berserk with "Not found" URLs.

Is there a specific setting in DBSEO to fix this or... ?

I strongly recommend disabling the "Search Engine Friendly Archive" in vBulletin. It has been pretty much 100% useless for several years now, and actively harms your site's rankings as it stands.

Consider the following scenario: You are searching for a HowTo-guide, and you find a couple of potential results. One of them loads the images / formatting immediately, the other requires you to click an additional link to "view full", wait for the site to load a second time, then you can see the images / formatting in question.

Which result are you more likely to actually bother with? The first one, naturally.

For that reason, DBSEO does not support the Archive in vBulletin, and for that reason you should disable it ASAP.
