Question How to upgrade from vbSEO to dbSEO

Can someone please provide a step by step tutorial on the proper way to upgrade from vbSEO to dbSEO? (vb 4.2.1)

1. Disable vBSEO and vBSEO Sitemap Generator from the Plugins & Products
2. Comment out all .htaccess entries belonging to vBSEO
3. Apply .htaccess entries from DBSEO's readme.txt
4. Install DBSEO in AdminCP
5. Click "vBSEO Import" in DBSEO Control Panel
6. Make sure the store_sitemap folder exists in the forum folder and is CHMOD 777
7. Turn on Sitemap Generation via DBSEO CP
8. Manually build sitemap

That should be everything

Why comment out the vbseo htaccess entries instead of removing them?

Also, how do I identify what entries in the htaccess file belong to vbseo?

To make it easier to revert, should you run into any critical problems that we are unable to resolve for you. We will, of course, make the utmost effort to resolve any issues you may encounter. Not only that, but should we be unable to resolve the issue (and the issue is in the modification itself, and not with your server configuration), you would be entitled to a refund.

In short, it's just a safer option to comment it out
