How does the Lottery feature work?

I understand that I can choose the numbers in dropdown menus but once I have the lottery ticket finished and sent, what does it do? Where can I see my ticket numbers (as to remember what I selected)? Also, what happens when the lottery deadline passes? Do I get a private message indicating if I lost or won?

The ticket doesn't do anything until the lottery is drawn.
I don't think there's an interface for seeing your chosen numbers yet.
You will get a PM indicating whether you lost or won, and what the winning numbers were.

If I set frequency to weekly, which day it should process and what time?
