Hi

I have just installed the latest DBSeo mod on my vbulletin 3.8.7 (imported VBSEO settings) and everything seems to be working fine, except the Dynamic Meta Tags in forums and threads.
It doesn't change the keywords or the description in any pages, the default is just displayed everywhere.
The only place it seems to work is in the member profiles...

Any idea what may be causing it?
I've tried to disable and enable all of the options in the Dynamic Meta Tags Settings, but nothing happens.

Thanks

Are you having this issue with the custom descriptions via the Edit Thread menu, or are you saying the default values from "General Settings" in the vBulletin Options (not added by DBSEO, but stock vBulletin) is being used?

I'm unable to replicate either of these issues, mind, but I want to be clear on what exactly the problem is before proceeding :)

Both actually. :)

It's only using the default values from vbulletin, nothing happens with the description and keywords at all, even if I manually edit the thread and adds a custom description and keywords for that thread.
But when I edit the thread, under Meta Description and kewords there are keywords and a description that I guess are from DBSeo but it isn't displayed in the thread meta description/keyword, so keywords/description from DBSeo isn't replaced/used at all on the generated thread it seems.

Hope that made some sense.. :p

My template has been modified quite a lot, so it's possible that it may be missing a hook or some template code used by DBSeo to replace keywords and descriptions??

Tested on the default skin style now, and no luck there either....
It's strange that it's working fine in the member profiles, but not on the other pages.

Could you please create and PM me with a temporary FTP and AdminCP account?

For security reasons, we recommend you create a new FTP account only for DBTech support, then disable or delete it after we have both confirmed the issue has been solved and there are no further issues.

The same applies to AdminCP accounts; they should ideally be temporary accounts created for us only. If we have created an account on your site already, you can optionally boost that account to Administrator and then de-admin this account once the issue has been solved.

If you use a .htaccess password protection for your AdminCP directory, it is recommended that you create a new authorised user for DBTech and remove this user once the issue has been solved.

Please test any temporary accounts you create to ensure that the FTP account has access to the forum files, and that the AdminCP account can access the administrative controls for the product we are assisting you with.

Ensuring this is all in order before submitting the information will significantly speed up the process of assisting you. We will alert you via PM if there's any issues with the login information you have provided.

When sending the PM, for your security you should also un-tick the "Save a copy in my Sent Items folder" checkbox. When the access details have been received, we will delete the PM from our inbox. Ensuring you have not kept a copy of the PM reduces the risk of security breaches.

Thank you for helping us debug our products and allowing us to assist you, we appreciate it :D

Was able to add it manually by using $threadinfo[dbtech_dbseo_description] in the meta descriptions for threads and forums in headinclude, so it's sort of working now.. :)

Alright, if anyone else reports this problem and their assistance leads to a solution, you'll also receive the solution via an update :)
